Professor Jayne Donaldson, SISCC Lead for Postgraduate Education and Continuing Professional Development
In September 2014 Professor Donaldson was appointed Head of School of Health Sciences at the University of Stirling.
She is a well-recognised leader of nursing and healthcare, and is widely cited on nurse education issues such as practice learning. Jayne has a keen research interest in the quality of patient experience within healthcare, and the theoretical development of the nature and promotion of compassionate care through clinical leadership. Jayne was recently appointed a Guest Editor for Nurse Education Today, on a special issue on compassionate care within healthcare. Jayne’s policy and practice interests include public health, early years, and the impact of loneliness and social isolation particularly in older adults on their health.
