Madalina joined SISCC in August 2014 as a Research Fellow. Her most recent work focuses on understanding the use for measurement to improve the quality of health and social care. 

Prior to SISCC, she has been involved in a number of projects that interrogated the economic, social and cultural determinants of mental health including research on the co-production of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a clinical diagnosis and the role of creative engagement in stroke recovery and rehabilitation.

Her methodological knowledge and expertise are mainly mixed methods, allowing her to develop advanced skills in the design and conduct of clinical trials, cross-sectional surveys and instrument development as well as various qualitative research methods, systematic reviews and quality improvement methodologies.

Madalina has a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Bucharest, an MA in Educational Psychology from the University of Warwick and a MRes and PhD in Disability Studies from University of Stirling.
